St. Patrick's

The celebration of St. Patrick's day has been widely celebrated in the country of Ireland since the 1600's.  Along with this tradition, the Irish are known to drink alcohol on this holiday and a lot of it!   bars even serve green beer by putting food dye into the ale to color it Irish green.  In Chicago, Illinois, USA, they pour thousands of gallons of green dye into the Chicago river which intersects Lake Michigan and can be seen from any downtown Chicago bridge.
